About 11 years ago Udyam Prayas started as an informal setup “Out of School” where children from slums in South Delhi (near AIIMS) were brought together to learn while having fun in an informal setup called “Udyam” at the residence of the founder Mrs. Neeru S Junega. Over the years the number of students coming to Udyam grew and volunteers participating in the effort grew. With the guidance from Udyam, many of these students took admission in the nearby NDMC (New Delhi Municipal Corporation School).
At present about 60 students that go to nearby NDMC School, come to Udyam to receive academic assistance and participate in developmental activities. Udyam has catered to about 500 underprivileged students in the past decade.
