About 60 children residing in and around AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) in South Delhi come to Udyam Prayas. Almost all of these children are enrolled in the nearby NDMC Senior Secondary School, Ansari Nagar in standards 1^st 12^th. These children stay in 1 room houses typically with 5-6 family members. Parents of most of these children migrated to Delhi in search of work 10-15 years back. Fathers are either daily wage laborers or work as cooks or domestic helps or fruit sellers and often indulge in drinking Mothers are mostly illiterate and work as domestic helps. Monthly household income ranges between 3,000 to 7,000 Rs. per month.

Given the profile of the parents, parents are not well equipped to fulfill the academic and non academic developmental needs of the children. These children come to Udyam after their regular schooling hours to study, learn and have fun. Here are profiles of some of our children:
